Abigail hadn't had much time to spend with her Uncle Norbert, knowing he had been a busy man. All of the men in her family were incredibly busy and that was to be expected with such a lively business. She could often be found in the treasury, in her room, or on the beach. She seldom frequented the actual port, silently vowing to stay away from that mess unless it involved something financial. She would go see her brother Dederik whenever she could or whenever he could see her. Especially when times got very stressful and cargo got tangled. She just wanted to make sure he wasn't stressing out too much or overworking himself, even insisting sometimes that he go to bed when he tried to stay up half the night working on something. This was no different for any of her uncles or other family members. She simply wanted to make sure all was well in this family and part of her was kind of happy to see her uncle Norbert. She would be riding with him to the coronation and would have plenty of time to speak with him. It had been quite some time since Abby had poked her head into his office, knowing he was probably buried in his own papers and wouldn't have time to teach her. Or speak informally.
She slid into the carriage and waited for him, knowing they would speak mostly of numbers and figures but she wondered how he was personally doing and if he would answer. Abigail had her sketching book and began to focus on finishing the details of a drawing she had almost been done with when she heard her uncle enter the carriage. She looked up with a gentle smile. "Hello Uncle. I trust you've been well?" She asked, placing her sketch book to the side. Gail wondered if he was even in the mood to hold a conversation. It was a long ride and maybe silence is what he had hoped for, she couldn't be too sure until he replied.
