Knowing now that Ruadhan had the night to think over what he wanted to do, Regan decided to make breakfast a makeshift family meeting. No matter what he chose to do, he was going to need their help, and she wasn't about to be left out. Nora wasn't going to be excluded either, as far as the redhead was concerned. Making sure that Mother was awake and ready to join them as well, she was unable to find her brother Liam or Siobhan; they were probably out on patrols or some such suitably Connell thing.
Trying not to pace, Regan's curls bounced over her shoulders as she fidgeted, waiting with barely curbed impatience for her family members. The scent of breakfast wafted up from the kitchens, tempting and rich, but she resisted the rumble of her stomach. Coffee was coming as well, thankfully, not that she needed additional stimulation this morning. She'd avoided going to her bees, refusing to upset or disturb them in her present frame of mind; they didn't deserve to be affected by the machinations of humans. Bees were peaceful, busy creatures who treasured routine.
Perhaps that was why Regan tended to prefer them over the company of most people. Taking a breath, she thought she heard steps and whirled to see her mother. Welcoming her with a bright smile and an affectionate kiss to the papery cheek, she gently guided Moira to a chair and fussed lightly over her. Regan wasn't fooling Moira and she knew it when her mother's cool hand pressed to hers, a silent reminder to calm herself.
Nodding, Regan made herself sit beside her mother. They'd been here soon and then they'd know what the plan was.
