It was a cool day. The perfect sort of day. It wasn't too hot and it wasn't too cold, and Olympe didn't need to bring anything extra along when she went for her usual mid afternoon ride on Arvak, her buckskin steed, keeping her mare Alsvid at the stables to rest up. Olympe had decided she was going to go to the further corner of the lands that should, packing with her a small basket of fruits and goodies from the kitchens, as well as her most favorite paints and a single canvas. The girl had a desire to paint, but not to paint from her bedroom window or within the chateau's walls. She wanted a freedom to travel a distance from responsibility to just paint a landscape in peace and serenity. She saddled Arvak up and headed out, along the trail at first before moving him into a trot and venturing off the beaten trail. It was a trail she had discovered a long while ago, one that it seemed only she frequented, that led to a small little clearing of wildflowers, tall lush grasses, and a beautiful little stream that fed the woods it seemed. The woods themselves were not so thick as a forest or the wilderness may be, but it was wooded enough to create the imagery of someone being lost and alone and for some reason Olympe loved it, perhaps too much, but for now it didn't have any negative repercussions.
She finally arrived and slid off of her stallion's back, loosening his reins a bit and taking the riding bit from his mouth. He shook out his head and stretched before walking a few steps off to graze and drink from the water. Olympe took a small blanket she had also packed away with her supplies and laid it out neatly, the goodies were next and it seemed there were much more sweets than anything healthy in her basket. Finally she took out her paints and canvas and looked around for an idea, a glimmer of story, that she could draw and paint and bring back with her to show her twin and her cousins. And it was then she had the idea, to lay out on her back and paint her view of the sky.
