So, her older sisters were here, as well as a few others in their delegation that had made the trip to the capital, at the bidding of her brother. She found that whole situation ridiculous of course, though her father had seemed to calm a bit since the initial bite of the news had hit him. Now that her family was here, however, there was no sense in sending them home immediately - at least none that Amirah was privy to - and so at least she could rejoice in the company of other ladies that she could relate to. She could decidedly not relate to the women of the capital and these western lands. There were simply too many differences that broached on key values of hers and of the Rohari as a whole.
The grand tournament was fast approaching, with a whole mess of different events. Father hadn't put his name forward, that she knew of, but hadn't of yet forbidden they got watch the proceedings either. The joust, as a sport with blunted weapon, held no interest to the young Rohari lady, and she was told the swords in that event were also blunted. It left very little to view, but perhaps the archery competition would do for a good time. She only really meant to take the opportunity to see something different, something new, while she was here.
"Leilah," she called to her sister, as she saw her wandering about their foreign home. "I was just thinking to go visit one of these tea shops I heard the ladies talk about the other day. I was going to have our usual guard escort, but perhaps if you wish to join me... then we could spend some time alone?"
The two hadn't spent much time together in the short duration they had both been at the capital, so it also afforded them some bonding time if ever they needed it. Of course they had all sorts of drinks, tea included, in the sands, but the shop here as it were was likely to be different than anything she was used to - as was everything else here.
