Character Name: Ambrosia Sinclair
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Birthdate: April 12
City / Region: Ashworth, Shelbourne
House [ Birth, Marriage if applicable ]: Sinclair
Played by: Saoirse Ronan
Appearance:
Personality:
Ambrosia is one who likes to enjoy life. She enjoys watching people enjoy life too. She will see that the best is given so others can do so. She gladly organizes menus to see what can be put together along with seeing how she can mix and match flavors. She loves seeing the look on people’s faces when they find out what they are eating.
When Gid changed, Ambrosia felt she had lost something. Granted she could see him trying to maintain his warmth with his sisters, but she felt as if something was different with him. With that day she keeps her distance a little not really sharing as she used to. In secret she mourns her brother wishing he was his old self again.
She is very loyal to family and would do anything for them. When her sister had her accident she was there making sure her sister was comfortable. When she awoke, Ambrosia wanted to throw a party and rejoice. She didn’t of course knowing that Elizabeth wouldn’t want that. Instead she spoiled her younger sister with the best foods she could offer.
When it comes to her cousins, Ambrosia looks out for them the best she can with the younger ones. She knows the ones older than her can take care of themselves. She doesn't really know the ones older than her, but she wants to. Often she will seek them out if they are around and try and pester them.
Ambrosia could be seen as the pretty flower, but that wouldn’t be completely accurate. One look in her eyes you could see her determination. Sometimes if pushed far enough one could see her temper. It takes a lot to flare her temper although not so much to make her angry. Don’t step into the kitchen if she is angry a knife might be tossed – maybe two or three.
The only bad habit that she seems to have picked up is looking happy even if she is not. It is rare that Ambrosia isn’t happy, but few know that unless they know how to read her.
Specific Skills or Abilities:

Knife Tossing
Character History:
Ambrosia was born almost last in her family. She came out with a loud cry wanting to be heard. It was a sunny day she was born in April. One look at her as a baby and you could tell she was one to be happy. Crying only came as necessary with that she was marked a good baby.
When she was old enough to run and be around the first thing that called to her was the kitchens. She loved smelling the doughs and what was baking or cooking. She didn’t care that she was noble she just wanted to be in there. She was allowed and even learned a thing or two through the years as she was allowed to learn how to cook and bake. She did it because she enjoyed it. If anything she preferred the kitchens to anything else.
When she was ten she found herself in the stables. She loved viewing the horses almost half as much as she liked being in the kitchens. She begged to learn how to ride and found for her birthday she was given a pony. She took care of the horse as much as she could and learned to ride. She is almost as good as her siblings, but not quite.
At the age of thirteen, Ambrosia learned that the world was not always a safe or nice place. She was in the kitchens at the time of hour when everyone was still in bed. It was early morning and the fires needed to be made. She had gotten down to the kitchens early to find a thief. He had a knife and had it not been for a male servant bringing in wood there was no telling what would have happened to her.
Since those days, Ambrosia has made sure to have daggers. She wanted to know how to toss them properly and was taught so by her brother Gideon. It seemed the wisest choice of weapons for her considering she was in the kitchens. It was not a lesson she enjoyed learning, and wonders constantly why she had to learn such.
Ambrosia learned soon enough about taking care of the house and being the acting lady of the house. Her older sisters didn’t desire to do so. She took it up though knowing it was best, and she relished the thought of planning parties and helping. She loved rolling up her sleeves and being useful.
She saw her brother Gid as someone she could trust and enjoy life with. She trusted him with secrets before he became a knight. She noted the day he changed though. He came home different something she was a little scared of. He wasn't as warm or open as he had been before his patrol. She wanted to ask, but figured he would talk about it if he wanted to with her. She stopped telling him secrets then though. As close as they were before she didn't think it could continue as he was.
She was in the kitchens when her sister Elizabeth was brought in from her accident. She was by her sister’s side making sure she was comfortable until she woke up. Ambrosia was worried more than anything that her sister wouldn’t wake up again. She rejoiced when Elizabeth did, but wanted to weep when her sister couldn’t use her legs. She kept that to herself though never letting the smile leave her face.
Even though she doesn’t show it, Ambrosia is worried what the future holds for her family. She hopes that the future is bright for all of them. Her family’s future is constantly on her mind. She isn’t sure she looks forward to her future wishing she knew exactly what it held.
Writing Sample:
Ambrosia was watching wide eyed. She couldn’t believe this. Here was a young rogue and he was stealing from them. He turned around and spied her. She wanted to run but saw the knife in his hand. He was moving closer to her as well. She was just standing there not sure what to do. It was as if fear had taken hold of her. She was only thirteen after all.
“What in the world?” She heard and the thief turned. He kept the knife hidden ready to take on whoever just came into the kitchens. She wanted to so something, anything at that point. She thought of screaming, but she knew that would wake those sleeping something she didn’t want to do.
“He’s got a knife,” she heard herself say. The thief glanced over his shoulder at her glaring. Oh no this wouldn’t be easy for that thief not now. She watched as the servant stopped the thief and disarmed him before knocking him out cold. The servant then tended to her making sure she was fine. Once she said she was he went and tied up the thief before starting the fires. She tried to shake this off and start breakfast knowing that her family would be up soon enough.
