Amused by Rosalinda's concession that she could 'persuade' her brothers (and the occasional sister) better, Angelia laughed softly. "If by persuade you mean command, dear cousin, then yes, I suppose I do have a better way." Blue eyes twinkled with sly humor across the distance between them. "But certainly, I'll be happy to broach the subject with Rafe and see if I can persuade him to join you."
Despite her presence as the family advisor and sometime mastermind, there were limits even to Angelia's influence and power within the Sandoval family. They were still a patriarchal family, thus the control remained primarily with Dante. She had long ago accepted that as a fact. A nod given lent her concurrence to Rosalinda's words. "Certainly. That can be arranged. I can pen the letters of marque, unless you'd prefer to do so?"
She was manifestly aware of her cousin's skill in rhetoric, preferring to assist only if that assistance was desired. Rosalinda did not always trust her cousins, nor agree with some of the agenda points, yet she could be trusted to keep the family's best interests at the forefront of her mind. In this case, Angelia wondered what personal agenda Rosalinda might have in this, but did not inquire at the moment.
A wry smile tugged at her mouth, hearing Rosalinda mention Lord Blackthorne and the very real possibility that assistance could be purchased. It was so like some of the other Sandoval family members to presume the man's aid was for sale - how many times had she corrected Rafael on that point? "We shall see, if it becomes necessary. But what else will you need from me?"
