Greetings! In an effort to keep everyone informed as to the general goings on in the Kingdom, we are going to be posting a weekly digest. This digest will be updated as needed.
The digest will be separated by region. Unless noted otherwise, the news is confined to the characters within that region. Only major events will be discussed. For smaller, more character related events, consult the players of said characters.
Faucheux:
-- A Royal Summons has been issued throughout the kingdom. All lords and ladies are to come to Bordelaix to attend the coronation of Nicolette Deveraux to Crown Princess and Heir.
-- In honor of the Crown Princess's coronation, and to select champions for the four royal princesses, a Grand Tournament was held featuring four different events - the Joust, Sword, Pas d'Armes, and Archery. Lady Christina Delamara won the Archery, named Champion to Princess Juliette.
-- During the Tournament, one of the competitors revealed himself to be Severin Rosenquist, Crown Prince of Lindblum.
-- A series of attacks have occurred on certain members of the Sandoval family - the eldest daughter, Angelia, and the second son, Rafael. Both survived the attack, but not unscathed.
-- Several discreet murders have occurred, affecting House Capitani and House Savarese.
Calandria:
-- In Anzio, the Montefiores and Deliambres have met together to discuss a possible truce and end to the feud between the families. The Sandovals have arrived to mediate the talks.
-- With the talks concluded for the time being, both families are preparing to depart Anzio for Bordelaix. The Sandovals have already left, presumably to the same.
-- Both the Deliambres and the Montefiores have been attacked. Who is behind these dastardly deeds?
-- The Capitanis have departed Bordelaix to escort Lady Emilia Capitani's body home for burial.
-- Lady Lia Orsini has become the Countess of Bondesano. Her title is disputed by her cousin Nino, who has been exiled from Calandria under guard.
Estersea:
-- The Blackthornes have arrived in Gilboa on their way to Bordelaix.
-- Rafael Sandoval has arrived unexpectedly in Gilboa.
-- Lord Thomas and Nicholas Fontaine died under mysterious circumstances, leaving Tamara to become the new Countess of Vielha. Her claim to the countyship is under dispute from her uncle Joseph, who feels he should have been named Count.
-- Nyther Isle and the Naia family broke away from the Romanovs and Vasile, seeking to become vassals to House Ibarra as a bishopric and protected holy site, the starting place of the Watermen's faith.
Nacimiento:
-- Nothing at this time to report.
Rohari:
-- The Caliph, along with his family and several of his noteworthy hostages, repaired to Bordelaix with an agenda to seek sovereignty for Rohari.
-- The Rohari tribal raids on merchant caravans grow bolder, causing strife among the surrounding duchies.
Seravino:
-- The Count of Terre Verde has gone missing and is presumed dead, likely another victim of the long-standing feud with House Sforza, leaving his sole living child, Daniela, to become Countess. Because she is not yet of age, her cousins Sir Donato and Lord Gabriele Savarese stand as her Regents.
Shelbourne:
-- The Royal Family is presently visiting Lockewood on their home to Bordelaix from Vasile.
-- Princess Nicolette has opted to take the reins of the family, drawing them in to outline their plans for the future.
-- Reed Gardiner is formulating plans for his own family, as well.
-- Earlier in the month, a small number of the royal party were attacked by bandits. Sirs Nicholas and Tristan kept safe the Princesses Mariette and Juliette. No one was harmed.
-- The Romanovs have been attacked. It is suspected that the Count of Altofing is behind it all.
-- The Gardiners escorted the Royal party to Bordelaix, along with the Camerons of Marlowe and the Sinclairs of Ashworth.
Vasile:
-- The Royal Family has concluded their visit to the mysterious region and have departed from Vanderhall.
-- It is unknown how the talks between Princess Nicolette and Lord Marcus Romanov have gone.
-- In the wake of the attacks on the Duke, information came to light revealing the crimes perpetrated by Marcus Romanov to attain the ducal throne, and the complicity of numerous relatives. The duke's youngest sister, Elsa, fled when it was learned she uncovered the truth, but was returned to Vanderhall under the custosy of Lord Wilhelm.
-- Within a matter of weeks, the Romanov family found itself under attack once more, this time from a mercenary group acting on orders to eliminate the entire family; thus far, only several Romanovs remain alive: Bianca Romanov Reinhart, Brett Romanov, and those wedded into other Houses. It is unknown whether Elsa Romanov is still alive.
-- On the orders of the Crown Princess, a delegation led by Princess Mariette and several other Deverauxs arrived in Vanderhall to conduct an investigation into the deaths of the Romanovs and to work with the remaining noble families in Vasile to determine who the new Ducal family will be.
