Description: A large cornfield has been carefully crafted into a challenging maze in the near-distance of Bordelaix. The challenge has been set to any and all interested, to enter at one and and seek the exit. Participants unlucky enough to become disoriented and lost within its tall ranks will be swiftly rescued by the serving staff. Those successful in finding the exit will earn a prize!
Cornfield Maze Rules and Information:
- The maze covers approximately one acre where the corridors are not square but curved and are approximately four feet wide. There are numerous dead ends, and a small center portion where six paths converge, but the entrant must navigate from the eastern entrance to the western exit, approximately 1500 feet total movement.
- Entrants will make ten moves, each with a dice roll of 1d10 to determine if they encounter a dead end or progress through the maze successfully. These must be written as posts to indicate the entrant’s actions; after the post is made, the Admin will reply with what the outcome of the roll and pertinent information is so the entrant may progress.
- The maze holds no pitfalls, traps, or dangers beyond confusion; it is strictly a maze.
- If the entrant reaches their tenth move and has not reached the exit, they may request three more moves to exit, or may call for ‘rescue,’ to be led out of the maze.
- The entrant who exits the maze in the fewest moves is declared the winner, receiving the prize.
Rolls:
1 - Dead End! You must turn around and go back to your previous point.
2 - You advance 50 feet successfully.
3 - You advance 75 feet successfully.
4 - You advance 100 feet successfully.
5 - You reach an intersection and must decide whether to go to the left, or to the right.
6 - You advance 150 feet successfully.
7 - You advance 200 feet successfully.
8 - You advance 350 feet successfully.
9 - You advance 400 feet successfully.
10 - You advance 500 feet through the maze like a master!
Prize(s): (TBD. Can non-nobles participate?)
