Late was the hour when Riccardo had finally arrived to Vanderhall, and that evening had passed like a blur. He had met with the Royal Princess briefly, happy to see such a kind face, one he would undoubtedly get to see more of, perhaps even get to know. He had been met also by some of the Royal party, acquainted with the royal guards, and shown to his quarters. They had been ample and warm enough that he wondered how many rooms they had to spare. Of course, there wasn't a House currently living at the castle, thus he supposed it made sense there was space for him and other guests of the party.
He had bathed until he felt he might sleep in the tub, before then succumbing to the numbing sleep that was brought by a hard day's travel. The next morning, however groggy he was, faired better. He felt refreshed by having slept an extra few hours past sun-rise, and a hearty warm breakfast brought to his rooms. After he felt human again, he dressed and tried to compose a plan for the day. He considered that he did not want to waste time in manners of business, but that perhaps much of that would be accomplished through socializing. Thus, he felt it best to make himself some introductions, meet and greet with the Vasilian nobility.
Definitely, the man was a stranger in these halls and he felt it with every bend in the brick walls. A servant had come to offer to show him to wherever he'd wanted to go, but he'd dismissed them, remaining only in company of a Deliambre guardsman. As the weather outside was on the chilly end of the spectrum, even considering his present location, he opted to remain indoors. Perhaps he would find some of the gathered in the library, or perhaps the tea room, perhaps the dining hall. Riccardo set himself to wandering.
