The people’s feast had been one of the many events that Tamara was looking forward to during the festival simply because she was actually allowed to let her hair down. Everyone was on equal footing, well almost, on this day so if the Countess slipped backwards a little into her old ways it would be acceptable. Secondly who could argue with flowing wine, music, and a wealth of food? At the very least it would not be Lady Fontaine! Choosing to wear a simple dress of pale green the woman decided to forgo wearing any jewelry instead allowing her natural beauty to shine. Her long red hair flowed loosely over her shoulders as well as framing the lovely face of the nineteen year old. The only subtle hint that perhaps she was of a higher class was a simple bronze circlet that was laced through her hair. Perhaps she had gone a little far with with the simplicity, but there were rare moments to find an excuse for such freedoms the woman was going to take advantage of it.
A goblet of wine had already made it to the hand of the the lady as she set about wandering the crowds to look for an open table. While she had indeed arrived with her family she had offered them the option to go on exploring and to mingle with who else was in attendance regardless of their rank. It was one of the rare opportunities to do, so Tamara thought it was silly not to let them take advantage of it.
What had finally stopped the lady from continuing her walk however was not a table, but a small troupe minstrels who happened to be playing one of Countesses favorite songs, a drinking song she had first heard in a tavern. The fondness for the song and the memory brought a broad smile to the lips of the woman as she made her way over to the group hoping to listen to more and perhaps find a seat near the musicians.
