Attending to Princess Martine was hardly an onerous duty for Clara; most of the time, the Princess wished to be left alone, reluctant to quit the chamber assigned her in Vanderhall despite knowing she was safe and surrounded by those members of her family who would react with righteous fury towards the villain that was her brother. Despite her very real concern at Martine's refusal to make an effort at resuming normal activities, the Delamara lady knew it was not her place to push the Princess. That did not mean she wouldn't drop a few delicate hints in the right ears, though. Clara owed it to the Crown Princess to look after her kinswoman in all respects, not merely physical.
Leaving Martine in Lily's more than capable hands for the morning, she availed herself of the opportunity to begin exploring the castle a little and renewing acquaintances where she could. Aware that Emile was likely within the castle, Clara did not necessarily seek him out, respecting the duties that commanded his attention when he was not with his sister. Their friendship - she refused to assume there was any more to it - stayed strong through the exchange of letters, but she did not care to be an imposition, especially when her presence was not the least bit anticipated.
Feeling somewhat conflicted and not entirely sure of herself where Emile was concerned thanks to the actions of his older brother, Clara veered off towards the library. Her intention was to peruse the shelves and select a book or two for Martine, hoping they might serve as a lure to entice the young Princess into exploring the room herself. And if she found a book or two for herself, so much the better. She could use the distraction from her thoughts... of a fair-haired Prince in unexpected proximity.
