What to wear? What to wear? Like any proper young lady of standing Elisabeta of the House Montefiore desired to make an impression and after an ongoing series of encounters, it was time to break out. That night for the Masquerade, and the corresponding ball she was dressing to make a statement. First, she spent the week beforehand working with a tailor to complete a finely made dress just for the occasion itself. Some spies would report the fact the young lady Montefiore had appeared at the Orchid District and then spoken at length to lord Remy Blackthorne. Gossip might then arise of her then meeting the young Lord Michel Blackthorne.
Whatever word existed, she was doing her best to find an outfit fitting her growing or nonexistent reputation. First there was the dress [url=http://us.123rf.com/450wm/Prometeus/Prometeus1506/Prometeus150600761/41628550-venetian-masquerade-carnival.jpg[/url] and a masque. Her masque covered only the upper part of her face and left her jawline free. It was rounded and colored gold with fine dark blue filigree along the eyes and edges. Her hair was then bound up into a long braid tasseled with scarlet and a gold silken hat sat upon her head. It was a fine affair, the edge of it bent upward fashionably.
The dress was dark almost black and had a strip of gold going down the middle. The fringes were done in black lace and a covered fell from the golden hat over her hair. It all fit nicely together she thought. All nicely done for a pretty little penny. She then had a parasol with her covered in to depicting a dragon and a griffin battling each other. All fanciful works for a woman who spent most of her life reading books, hawking, and then becoming the Lady of the House. Time for her to have some serious fun.
She entered happily with her guard attired separately in a face covering mask and dressed in a exaggerated bravo's uniform. His large hat was covered in fringed feathers and she walked at least five paces ahead of him. Her hands were covered in velvet black gloves as she walked and twirled the parasol over her shoulder.
