Though the events that brought her here were tragic, Isobel was pleased for the fact that her friend, Clara Delamara, had come to Vanderhall. It wasn't that Isobel was bored per se, nor did she dislike the present company, but it wasn't the same as the masses she'd started to get used to seeing in the capital. She had quite enjoyed the various activities, the groups of women and men passing by, each with their own stories and their own goals. She enjoyed the palace, the dancing and the singing, the fashions and the foods.
Here, they had built themselves a semblance of what home felt like. They couldn't very well leave the place feeling like a crypt, no matter its sensitive truths. Having Lady Elsa Romanov among them made the situation a bit more... touchy... to the red-head, but the woman had been nothing but polite thus far. They were trying to walk the balance of being respectful of the past and the fallen family, while ridding the evil and leaving room for new happiness. Isobel could only do her part and follow the instructions given her, in the end, and she did so gladly.
During a break in her duties, though, she hoped to find her newly arrived friend. They had seen one another by now, but hadn't spent much time together. Clara and she had gotten along well in the capital, Isobel was proud to say. She hoped time hadn't changed that. She invited Marie-Louise to join her, if she chose, while she moved to a common area which they sometimes used to socialize. She asked of a serving girl to prepare some tea and finger foods, then moved towards the guest rooms to the one she knew Clara had been given. It was possible she would not be in her room, but that was her first stop at least.
