Liam had taken his sweet time getting them back from the edge of Bordelaix, to return to Vulcanis his homeland. First, he wanted to avoid the major roads where he could, lest the Blackthornes or the Saavedra had set upon them some guards or sent a word ahead to block their way. He also was in no rush to get home to his brother whom he'd likely angered in his rogue-like decision. Although he suspected Ruadhan might understand him, his newly minted position as High Laird would complicate the position he could take on things.
It also afforded for he and Euria to speak a bit, and for the reality shift to set in. And finally, if she was upset with him, hopefully it would serve to stem off some of that anger rather than stoke it. He would soon find out, he knew. When he finally arrived in Llwyn Newyth, home of House Cadag the former High Lairds, he took care to keep her near and somewhat concealed. For that evening, he got them in late and brought her to his chambers to sleep. Let them think she was just some clanswoman that he'd taken to bed. At least that way they would get a good night's rest before they would face the music in the morning.
Despite the actions that had inspired this whole kidnapping business, Liam remained gentlemanly that evening and leaving the bed to her. He himself found another place to sleep. Liam could hardly sleep, and woke with a bit of the red of his hair in the pigment of his eyes. He was antsy as he fussed around getting clean and dressed, and tried to make himself appear cool, calm, collected. It was not unlike the ways of their people to take what they wanted, but bringing in issues from outsiders to Vulcanis was an entirely different level of trouble and Liam wouldn't play the idiot card about it.
Finally, it was time. The birds outside were chirping, the sun seeped into every crack of the windows, and frankly he was hungry. Grumpily, he checked into his chambers to see whether his Lady was awake and... still there. He'd posted a clansman, a friend, to her door to keep trouble out more than to keep her in, but to tell him if she was looking for him or to leave altogether.
