She walked through the market place. It was one of the ideal places to overhear conversations and gather any tasty little tid-bit. Hazel eyes darted here and there, taking in the sights of hawkers and their wares. Merchants called out to the crowd, trying to get them to buy their goods. Adele's gown swished about her ankles, it's hem short just enough that it didn't drag the on ground. Upon her head she wore a white veil that framed her face and was held in place by a thin band around her forehead. The Blackthornes had only been there in the city for a week and by now Adele should know the ins and outs of the place. She walked around a fresh pile of horse dung as she made her way to a flower stand, someone would soon be by to collect it to keep the street clean and Adele had no pity for whoever had the disgusting job.
As she drew nearer to the flowers she gratefully drew in a breath of the sweet aromas. Beautiful bouquets of roses, lilies, daffodils and baby's breath drew the eye with their lovely colors. She also spotted carnations with their many different colors as well as many more that she didn't know of. Maybe she would get a small bunch for their quarters to add a splash of color. She picked a couple roses and a few carnations, then changed her mind and added a couple of daffodils to the bunch. Her purchase made, the young girl moved on. Her ever moving eyes taking everything in with great interest. Loud conversations buzzed around her and she caught snippets here and there of the new crown princess. A few conversations held the topic of Prince Emile Deveraux and that really had her ears straining to catch more. Would he already be betrothed? Was there someone that he took a fancy to? He was known as a romantic. An easy and out going young man that had no trouble with the ladies. A musician by heart, he whiled his ways by seducing girls with his spell binding lyricals. Oh to have a husband that was famed for writing and playing his own songs would really be a delight to any girl. She really liked the idea of Emile Deveraux and would mention it next time she saw her two dear brothers, Remy and Gabriel. With the conversation turning to hunting the young girl moved on, searching for bigger fish to whistle about to her two brothers.
