The venue had to be a place in secret away from prying eyes where other nobility might catch wind. A Sandoval and the consort of the king meeting could potentially cause a scandal for Lady Aneira. The inn that the Blackthorne's had recommended to her brother seemed the perfect choice for the meeting as the lady could purchase a private room for the afternoon wine tasting she had secured. Maricela still had to decide on which local wines to order for the Masque she was holding right after the royal gathering, so this way she could take care of two matters at a hand.
Maricela had the best and most secured meeting room in the inn reserved for the two ladies. She was also escorted by some of her brother's men who stayed hidden in the tavern of the inn itself as well as nondescript attire outside the room itself. Interior was well polished, two couches outlined the back walls of the room, a painting on the west wall, and a window covered by a curtain to east. In the center a long table with cushioned chairs, on one end was a variety of empty wine glasses where one of Cela's personal servants waited patiently for drink requests, and on the other was parchment, ink bottles, sealant wax, and some quills. While the room was perhaps a bit much for the ladies intentions she wanted to ensure to her guest that this meeting was of the utmost importance and discretion. And lastly that if payment was required for what she asked of her then Marcela was willing to give it. A Princess, future Duchess, needed her court and lacked the time to shift through the weeds herself.
Sitting back in one of the chairs near the carefully laid out parchment, the lady smoothed out the skirt of her deep royal purple dress with golden rose brocade on the corset and the underskirt of the garment. The sleeves were short, barely covering her shoulders so as to keep cool in the heat of summer. Her long dark hair was piled atop her head in a loose yet elegant bun accented by golden chains. Of course she had arrived early dressed in hideously modest clothing to cover her features and identity, yet once here she had changed into clothes befitting that of royalty. Even if her right as Princess had been stolen from her the young lady would act the part and she would do it better than any Deveraux.
