The journey from Wyreth to Archades had gone fairly smoothly, with only a bit of rough winds here and there. Which made Morgan quite glad. While he didn't have problems with being out on a ship the same could not be the same for his cousin Galen Douglas it seemed. Poor Galen, the first few days upon the ship had been rough on him. Fortunately he was recovered now and standing next to him upon the deck as they waited for the plank to be lowered so they could disembark The Nereid, his family's ship.
Finally the plank was lowered and his cousin and he made their way down to the dock, some of the men bringing their trunks down behind them. Morgan took a count of their belongings while Galen procured a carriage for them. After making certain all the trunks and parcels were properly accounted for those same parcels were loaded onto the top of the carriage as Morgan and Galen watched and once everything was properly secured they stepped up and took seats inside.
They conversed quietly en route to the palace and home of the ruling family the Deveraux' and the ruler Crown Princess Nicolette. He looked forward to meeting her and her family, looked forward to talking to her about trade and alliances and looked forward to hopefully getting a chance to view some of a country new to him.
It didn't take long for the carriage to arrive at Chateau de Lavande and as they came to a halt several servants came hurrying out to see to the luggage of the new guests. Morgan pointed out which trunks were to accompany them inside to be presented to the Crown Princess and her family and which were to be taken to their chambers. Once everything was sorted Morgan and Galen made their way inside and towards the Throne Room.
Upon their arrival the Majordomo announced them to the Crown Princess and everyone assembled and they made their way across the room to bow before Her Majesty.
Morgan had insisted that he and Galen clean themselves up before they left the ship so that both men were presentable to the Princess and Court immediately. So they were clean with clean clothes. Morgan had shaved the whiskers from his face, not that there were many, though he did favor a slight growth. His dark brown hair was combed and his clothing was neat; an indigo light weight linen shirt, black pants and boots and his sword firmly buckled around his waist. He wore no jewelry save but a signet ring upon his left hand.
He remained in the bow as he was taught and spoke in a rich voice, with a pleasant friendly tone to it.
"Good afternoon to you Your Highness and it is a pleasure to be here to make your acquaintance. I am Morgan Northrop, prince of Wyreth and Ambassador on behalf of my Mother, Queen Patrice who sends Her warmest regards to you. This is my cousin Galen Ramsey, who is also my friend. We thank you for receiving us."
