There had been an invitation. It had come before the rest of her family had even arrived to the capital, perhaps even before they had been summoned by her eldest sibling and only brother. The invitation had come by the Sandoval family, an invitation to an exclusive party where dance and feast would be present, a masquerade as far as she was told. Such a thing was more than a little odd to the Rohari young woman, but she had seen beyond the theme and to the meaning of the invitation. However, before her thoughts could get too far ahead, father had strictly decreed they were not to participate and it put the matter to rest for her.
That was, until the night of the party. She'd altogether forgotten about it until by happen-stance she heard the wandering words of her siblings who apparently were intent on attending. Sabriyah, restricted to their home, certainly couldn't have even attempted it, but surprise still hit her to know she would aid her siblings to rebel the edict. She was on shaky ground with him, and Bashir even more so; how could they dare to try this?
The youngest child stared through the door that hadn't been well closed, trying for a glance, until finally she'd made up her mind to go tell her father what she'd witnessed. Wherever he was, she would just have to find him. As she made to leave, she whirled and hit face first into one of the many guards they had in the establishment as part of their entourage. Amirah gave a gasp before struggling for footing. The man on instinct stabilized her with both hands though gave her a questioning glance. She didn't indulge his curiosity, and rubbed her nose with a hand, uttered a thanks and started down the hall.

(I think the idea at this point is for her NOT to end up telling Qasim, but I figure he'll be brought into the thread by the end of it?)
