It was mid-day in Drakespire Castle, and it was a fine time for some tea. It was the previous evening that Elisabeta had sent a maid to deliver a message to her dear younger sister Joanna, the beloved child of the family. The young girl was quieter than her other relationships making Caterina look like a hoyden commoner with how polite she was. A discussion needed tooccur between the two sisters, a discussion dealing with the upcoming betrothal between the Houses of Montefiore, and Sandoval. A difficult subject to bring up with a girl that she herself considered quite light of constitution. That was not to say that her sister was lacking in brains, only that she was not the strongest in taking shocks. Then again, Elisabeta did not spend enough time her sister in the first place.
The message read:
To my dear darling sister Joanna,
I have pondered the upcoming nuptials between our beloved brother, and would like to discuss her. This woman I am unsure if you know, Elena of House Sandoval. She will be a Duchess in her own right, and I was curious to know your opinions about the match.
Please respond post haste, or come to my rooms in mid-day.
Sincerely with respect,
Your Sister, Elisabeta.
It was sent along with a cordial invitation for tea the next day. Now that said day had come she was dressed in a simple light blue dress along with a pair of slippers that would allow her to walk across the stone floor of her rooms. Tea was being heated, and she was ready as her guard changed for the next shift that day.
