Expected as it was, the Crowned Princess sought a meeting, or at least a greeting, with the Lord of Cervo and his Lady sisters. As she had written, she would wish to accept their oaths, and to meet the leading women of his household. As it were, Daario was the only male left of immediate lineage. Any man still alive with Saavedra in his blood was hidden and passed along the realm - it would be quite a task to figure out where they currently were - but something that the Count thought to perhaps undertake. While they were in the capital, perhaps the Crown Princess would grant him leave of the Royal Archives, and perhaps therein would lay some documents of use. One day, when his family had been whole and thriving, they might have worried about purity of blood and gentle births, but the Saavedra were much beyond the point of choosiness. It was now a matter of survival, plain and simple.
Casting such considerations from his mind, he led the party of three - plus a few more from servants and guardsmen - to the palace proper. They were guided into the deeper folds of polished stone, to bring them to the room where would wait their host. They had all taken care to dress to the role, the Lord of Cervo himself wearing yellow or golden vestments with linings of black, their family crest embroidered with care. His sister had with her a small gift for the Princess in congratulations, to be given as part of the duties they would be performing here today. Though he had hoped his oath through Zorion would have been sufficient, he understood all the Counts had suffered the same request earlier in the month, and thought his late arrival was delinquent enough.

I figure since this is an old thread (date wise) we can keep it somewhat short. If Alaia’s writer is not back before it finishes I think the most basic, least intrusive of actions for her would be appropriate - I would think she would have attended and followed Daario’s lead?
