He had been watching her, so he saw her approach from a mile away. It was probably not very gentlemanly of him to stand in her path, for her to bump into him. And still, he hadn't moved, and there she went. He raised his hands to soften the impact and steady her if she threatened to fall, then hastily retrieved his hands. Liam would be loathe to start some scandal for being found untoward in his actions towards a woman, and as he didn't understand all the social requirements in this region, he was especially careful.
"My Lady," he started, then gave a bow of respect and greeting. "I was distracted. I should have been the one to move, I apologize." Not that he specified it was she who had distracted him. Liam smiled, briefly taking in her appearance from so close. She looked rather exotic to him, for the porcelain tone of her skin and the ice in her eyes. He couldn't easily pull himself away from the opportunity of conversation. Still, what to say?
He mentally kicked himself. Introductions. That's what. No one here was going to do it for him, lest he wanted to be a puppy at Amaury's side, and Liam didn't know the man enough for that, nor was he too shy. "Liam mac Geoffry a'Connell, at your service my Lady. Are you... one of our hosts tonight?" He inquired, trying to sound curious and hoping he hadn't just put his foot in his mouth. He was probably supposed to know who the hosts were, the Sandovals, but he hadn't a clue.
By now, if not for his clothing, his accent would have denoted his origin from Vulcanis, if the Lady had ever heard such thing to compare it to before. Though it somewhat wounded the pride, Liam came to realize that the vast majority of the nobles in Bordelaix were blissfully unawares of the clans and their differences.
