Zorion had plenty of business with the Crown Princess to be lately, resulting in semi-frequent trips to the Chateau. Occasionally, Kattalin joined him in the journey, opting to spend the days on the grounds indulging herself with various leisurely tasks or pleasures until his business was complete, then they returned to their Lavender quarter home. The city was awash with people, a near-constant bustle going to and from the Chateau, a dizzying array that made the grounds a haven of peace for her.
Today, she was merely wandering about with no specific purpose in mind. Curiosity was often Kattalin's greatest virtue, and occasionally her great weakness. The formal gardens held too many people today for her liking, sending her to wander through the grounds in search of somewhere else in which to plant herself. She had a book to read, knowing the sheer amount of sewing that waited for her back at the house. Hoping to finish her tale before she set in to the tasks ahead, she hoped to discover a shady nook available.
Coming around a corner, Kattalin paused when the unmistakable scent of lavender teased her nose. Fond of the fragrant plant, she trusted her olfactory sense, following the trail left by the light wind to find its source. A sprig would serve very nicely, if she could find some to toy with and freshen the scent while she read. It took her a few minutes to realize that she was in a very different sort of garden altogether now - these were definitely not pleasure gardens, not with raised beds with regimented rows.
Spotting a figure at work, she headed in that direction to inquire just what kind of garden this was, where she could find the lavender, and more importantly, would it be permitted for her to pick some? Coming closer, Kattalin cleared her throat to avoid startling the figure, a young woman by the looks of her. "Excuse me? Miss? What gardens are these, please?"
