It had only been months since that early spring morning when their family had found the bodies of her brother and father. Immediately she had taken the responsibility and role of Countess, a position no one in their family had ever expected Tamara to be in which included herself. During this time last summer the young woman had been certain the next time she would enter these very halls she would be as a Dame, a life destined for travel, adventure, and intrigue. That ,however much it burned at her soul, was not nor would it ever be the case and her attendance her this day solidified that fact. The reluctant leader of the Fontaine's would be in attendance to pledge her family's allegiance to the Crowned Princess, Regent of Archades among a group of mostly strangers all of which were likely far more experienced than her. The waters she was entering were full of sharks, but she'd be damned if she gave them any scent of blood. The Lady of the Fontaine house may be young and inexperienced, but she was not the timid girl most of them likely expected. The lovely dress she worse of house colors, the locks of vibrant red hair elegantly twisted back in loose tresses that flowed down her back, and the pearl necklace with sapphire blue pendant all served to illuminate her status. However she knew it would be the way she carried herself that would further prove herself as belonging to the rank she held.
Taking a deep breath as she reached the entrance way of the throne room the nineteen year old idly ran a finger along the back of her signet ring, her father's re-sized for her delicate fingers. How many times had her father been there? How many friends did he have in that room that she did not know? Letting such questions fall to the back of her mind Lady Fontaine held her head up high entering the room the swagger of confidence. Doubt and uncertainty quickly vanished as blue eyes scanned the room dancing quickly over the Lords and few ladies that were there. She did not recognize most of those there at least for now by name although she could perhaps make some guesses as to who they were?
Not as flamboyant as the man who entered ahead of her the Lady Fontaine nodded politely to the various Lords and Ladies i greeting as she passed while listening intently to the conversation around her. At the mention of the word 'Caliph' however the woman couldn't help, but glance back at the foreign man. Her body stiffened while blue eyes gave the foreign man a piercing look as a warrior would their opponent. So this was the monster who's people brought so much pain to their neighboring house? Forcing her facial expression to remain posed the woman turned her again away this time searching for a familiar face before spotting Lord Ibarra who she had not seen since the funerals of her family. Deciding to approach the woman gave Lord Ibarra a slight curtsy and a small smile, "Lord Ibarra, I hope you enjoyed the festivities last night..."
