Fond as Nicolette was of dancing, she was more accustomed to the stately movements and measured cadences of the court dances versus the more... rigorous (and if she was candid, intimate) dances to be found in Vasile. Treated to quite the display, she opted to take a few minutes by a nearby open window to cool her cheeks. Whether the rose hue staining porcelain skin was due to exertion or the shock to her senses, the Crown Princess refused to divulge to anyone, but stood by the window, welcoming the waft of cool mountain air against heated face.
She had a fan, put to good use as well, setting the delicate golden curls wisping on her brow and over her ears to to dancing with the force of the fan's passage. Blue eyes frankly surveyed those gathered, seeing a mixture of reactions to the 'dance-lesson' taught by the Duke. Some were amused, not a few were shocked, and still more were clearly torn between the two reactions. Nicolette did not dare to glance in the direction of Antoinette, confident her sister would certainly have a definite opinion on the matter. They would discuss it later, in the privacy of their chambers, that went without saying.
For now, she enjoyed a few minutes' respite until a face she recognized passed her by, prompting speech. "Lady Claudia," called lightly to the Duke's elder sister to gain her attention. "Might I have a few minutes of your time, please?" Nicolette wanted to be certain she adequately expressed her gratitude for the lady's efforts, but also to gain some knowledge of the lady herself. As had been discussed prior to departing from Bordelaix, she was going to begin seeking out qualified candidates to enter her household, and those of her sisters. It was high time that the Deveraux princesses enjoyed the ladies in waiting that were their due.
Lady Claudia Romanov was her first target.
