Description: The Crown is hosting a hunt for those noblemen and Ladies interested in joining Princesses Antoinette and Juliette. The Royal party will away in the early morning of October 30th to the nearby woods, whereupon a competition will be set to each to score the biggest and most impressive game. Aside from bragging rights, appropriate prizes will be had for the hunters who return with the best bounty. Individuals are permitted to adventure alone or in a group, but any prizes earned must then be shared. Among the game to be hunted is the illustrious and evasive boar, which may well pose a risk to inexperienced, but is sure to be a prize worth boasting.

Instructions: Please reply to this thread to indicate interest in participating, naming the character to be competing. The event will be kicked off by a general traveling thread by Antoinette and Juliette Deveraux, followed by individual competition threads for all participants (or groups thereof). The Royal Hunt will proceed as follows:
- The competitor posts a reply in their competition thread where in they are "searching" for their prey. At the end of their post, they will add a 1d100 roll. This dice roll will help to determine what (if any) game they find.
- The facilitator account will post a brief reply to indicate what game they have found, and invite the competitor to proceed with hunting their prey. If no game was found, the competitor is free to post another reply, again "searching" for their prey.
- The competitor will then post a reply of their actions to hunt the beast they have found. Upon the conclusion of their RP'ed actions, they will then add a 1d20 roll. This dice roll will help to determine whether they succeeded in hunting their prey, or if they receive a different result., Possible outcomes are:
- "success": the prey is successfully taken down, full points are received.
- "miss": the hunter missed or offered only glancing blows. They can continue to try to hunt their prey, or choose to forfeit it in order to claim partial points.
- "spook": the prey was missed, and is now startled! The beast has fled and the competitor must now go back to "searching" without any points earned.
- "injury": for more difficult game, the competitor suffers an injury. The nature of the injury is up to the writer's creativity, up to and including an attack from the hunted beast itself. No points earned as the beast then escapes, but the competitor can continue to hunt if it is reasonable. Subsequent injuries will result in medical evacuation.
- Again, the facilitator account will assist by posting a brief reply outlining the outcome of the competitor's actions, whether they are successful, miss, spook or injured, thus setting the tone for the competitor's next reply.
- After the hunting of a beast is complete, whether successful or not, the competitor then can resume with another post to "search" for another prey to hunt. Each competitors can "search" up to 3 times maximum (down from 10 in an effort to complete the royal hunt sooner).
- A table is posted below to outline the various game available to be hunted, with their points value and availability. If all of the game of the rolled type have already been hunted, you will automatically find the next lowest game type. The winner of the competition is the person (or group) who has amassed the highest score at the conclusion of the event. An OOC date will be set for the ending of the Royal Hunt, whether all 10 search attempts have been exhausted or not.
- To keep things fair and simple, those who wish to participate in a group of any size will share a total of 10 search rolls, and similarly share their hunting points. Thus, to group up is for role-play purposes only and does not affect the outcome of the competition.
- Finally, a table is posted below to outline the roll parameters based on the game being hunted. You can note that the more rewarding the beast, the more difficult and risky the associated hunting rolls are.
