The letter received from the Count of Cervo fired Angelia's thinking. Once, the Saavedras had been staunch supporters of the Sandoval reign, enjoying a close friendship between Cervo and Talencia. Considerable time (and no small amount of tragedy) passed since the two Houses last interacted, though she recalled her father's reaction to the attack on Cervo and the supplies and aid sent to the city to aid the people to reaffirm that friendship. Now, his daughter was determined to rekindle that dormant flame and in doing so, hopefully garner another ally.
Arriving at the Saavedra home at the appointed time, Angelia presented her card to the stoic featured servant after she was admitted to the foyer. The house was quiet, as she'd expected. The Saavedra family was rather small, as she recalled - just the Count, his two sisters and a small handful of cousins. She had no doubts that the Count was looking to remedy that situation in short order now he'd arrived in Bordelaix - already, a handful of betrothals had been announced, and she looked forward to hearing of plenty more come Midwinter. That was the concealed blessing in that infernal summons; it was an ideal chance to select spouses from across the realm.
Dressed in a gown of deep blue trimmed in lighter blue and gold, one of Cela's designs, she'd kept her hair simple, drawing a few locks away from her face into a soft twist, then the remaining hair spilled in a dark river over shoulders and back. A light stole hung artfully from her elbows against a chill as blue eyes discreetly looked around, waiting for the Count's attention.
