Her talk with Bashir filled Sabriyah with a new sense of purpose, but more, a touch of uncharacteristic recklessness heretofore undisplayed. Fueled with determination, she went in search of her sisters to broach an idea that could - with their cooperation - become quite a plan. The greatest restraint holding her back was now removed and the blessing given to set the obstacle aside in favor of learning more of the place in which she'd been little more than a hostage.
Leilah would be the more challenging to find, so she left it to their shared handmaid to track her sister down with an invitation to join her in Sabriyah's chambers for tea and sweets. Amirah was much more easily located, knowing that since the al-Faris girl arrived, the two were thicker than thieves and seldom apart. The girls would either be in Amirah's chambers or in the gardens with the al-Jashiri man. Hafda was tasked to find them once Leilah received her invitation.
Lanterns were lighted against the darkness, filling the room with a soft, golden glow as she waited for the three young women. The black and white silks were set aside in favor of resuming the rich, colorful silks that had been her accustomed attire prior to her outburst; so many changes had come to pass since Sabriyah arrived in Bordelaix. She could only imagine what else was to come.
Since they were resolved to remain in Bordelaix, then it was high time that they began to interact with the Wetlanders, especially as there was a great deal of harm to be undone if they were to pursue Rohari sovereignty. This would be the first step of many, showing a new face of the Rohari.
