Told that the ship from Montenoire was spotted heading into the harbor, Juliette decided not to join Lord Delamara in welcoming their guests. Lavigne was his city and she did not want to steal his thunder as the host . Maybe she was making a mistake, but she felt it was the right thing to do to delay her welcome until after their newly-arrived friends had a chance to settle in and get a little rest. Welcomes were always good over food and drink, they helped to put people at their ease and give them topics to talk of.
Juliette had sent an invitation to the Remingtons and her cousins to join her and her cousins for a pre-dinner drink and light conversation before they joined their Delamara hosts for dinner. It would be her official welcome to the Remingtons and a welcome-home for the Deverauxs who accompanied them. Nicolette had alerted her that Lord Henri and his family had been summoned back. Taking care to dress in a way that even her older sisters couldn't disapprove of, she made sure Kenna was invited as well. The Cameron young lady was a little shy, but she was definitely a part of this and Juliette wanted her to know it.
Waiting in a parlor that she had requested to borrow for this purpose, the youngest Royal Princess stood in a gown of soft white trimmed with purple, her House colors. She had pearls in her hair and a necklace to match with an amethyst pendant on it. For the moment, she was alone, hoping her cousins and Kenna arrived soon, and trying not to feel anxious about being official. Nicolette was trusting her to handle this properly, to make a good impression. She took a deep breath and stood up straight. It was time to be official.
