The sun had slowly began its long descent from the sky to rest for the night. It had been barely an hour since the arrival of Wilhelm and the company of seven men that had followed him with Kjerstin. It had been an uneasy task to discuss the matter of Kjerstin's presence in the company with her father without causing too much of a rumble for his brother to realize what his younger brother had planned. By now, Marcus was probably quite aware of his brother's departure and more importantly the reason behind his travels to Lockewood, however, that was an issue to ponder on his way back. For now, Wilhelm had come for his sister and as soon as he had her, he'd depart for their home.
Upon his arrival, Wilhelm had inquired at the possibility of meeting her royal highness to apologize in person for the matter that had been dropped on her. He wasn't certain how Nicolette had reacted to his letter or if she'd hand over his sister without asking anything in return, but the young man was praying for an easy solution to a rather pitiful problem. Wilhelm had been made aware of his sister's feelings about home and he had truly desired to look into a possible solution to fix her feelings, but running away had only caused more trouble and his confidence in his capacity to solve the issue was now weak at best.
Lord Wilhelm stood still in the corridor as he waited for word from one of her grace's retinue. The company had been ordered to remain under the skyline in the local tavern. There had been no need to send waves through the servants and castle folk about their presence yet. It had been easier for him to enter the castle alone to search out for her grace and his sister without alerting Elsa of his presence before he could stand in front of her. There was no time for another chase.
